This week's designated Church Of The Week is First Baptist Church, Farmerville. Please pray for Rev. Kurt Auger, the church staff, and their various ministries.

The annual Week of Prayer for North American Missions has begun. Our goal for this year is $4,000 for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Please prayerfully consider what your gift to missions will be.

Emmanuel will participate in the Buckets of Hope ministry for the people of Haiti. We have set up a table in the main hallway to show what items go in the buckets. There are information forms available on the table if you are interested in participating. If you prefer to donate cash, our college ministry has agreed to purchase the items and pack the buckets. Just place $40 in an envelope marked "Bucket of Hope" and turn it in to the church office. The deadline is March 12.

Next Sunday, March 14, will be Baptist Women's Day here at Emmanuel. All the ladies will meet together for a combined Sunday School time in the FLC beginning with a delicious breakfast at 8:45 a.m. Susan Price will be the featured speaker for both Sunday School and morning worship. Special music will be presented by an all ladies choir led by our own Nancy Durrett. A special choir rehearsal and brunch will be held on Saturday, March 13, from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Candy is needed for our annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Sunday, March 28. Boxes have been placed in the hallway for your donations.

Nancy Durrett will be going to St. Petersburg, Russia, for a two-week mission trip April 9-24. There are several items that need to be purchased for the orphans and graduate orphans that she will be working with. A box of "shopping" list items are on display in the hallway by the Choir Room if you would like to take a card, purchase the item, and then return it to the box beside the missions table by Sunday, March 28.
