What to Expect
You can expect to find a welcoming, warm, and caring group of people who truly love the Lord, each other, and you!
WHEN SHOULD I GET THERE?
If you are joining us for Bible study, you should plan to be here about 5 to 10 minutes prior to 9:00 AM. If you are joining us for worship, you should plan to be here shortly after 10:00 AM, especially if you have young preschoolers.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You will find that there is no official attire. You will see folks in jeans, slacks, dresses, suits, tennis shoes. People at Emmanuel dress for comfort, but with the intent not to dress so as to make others uncomfortable.
DO MY KIDS GO TO WORSHIP SERVICE WITH ME?
Yes they can. However, we believe the best option is for your children to participate in the age-appropriate programming provided just for them. We have a well-staffed nursery for babies to 2 or 3 years of age. For older preschoolers (age 4 through Kindergarten) and young school age children (grades 1 and 2) we have separate preschool and children worship services. They will participate with their parents in regular worship during the music, but will be dismissed with caring and prepared teachers for the remainder of the worship. They will have their own space where the programming is just for them. Children from grades 3 and up will participate in the regular worship with their parents.
HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT EMMANUEL BAPTIST AND HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Whether you want to become a member or just find out more, you should consider participating in our Discovering Church Membership class. Our pastor and staff lead this class on Sunday and is offered every two to three months. You will find the date posted on our website a few weeks before it is offered, or you can call and talk with our pastor at any time to discuss questions you may have.
